01 — ABOUT / THE PERSON BEHIND THE SIGNAL

Building systems,
not just interfaces.

I’m Nurudeen Salihu, a software developer focused on reliable digital systems, thoughtful interfaces, and automation that removes unnecessary work.

A system is a conversation
between intent and reality.
02 — WHO I AM

The work is technical.
The reason is human.

I build software for the moment when a messy process needs to become a dependable system. That has meant full-stack development, data and IT operations, access control, and automation for teams whose work continues after the launch.

I’m interested in the space between an idea and the system that makes it real: the architecture underneath, the interface people touch, and the quiet details that make both trustworthy.

03 — THE WAY I WORK

How I think.

Principles I return to when the problem is larger than the first brief.

01

Understand before building.

The best implementation starts with a clear picture of the people, constraints, and failure modes around a problem.

02

Make complexity feel simple.

Good systems can be deep underneath and calm at the surface. I care about both sides of that boundary.

03

Automate the boring path.

If a person is repeatedly moving information between places, the system is asking for a better design.

04

Build for the person using it.

A feature only matters when it makes someone’s work clearer, safer, or meaningfully faster.

05

Keep learning after it ships.

Production is part of the feedback loop. Monitoring, maintenance, and reflection shape the next build.

04 — BEYOND THE CODE

Curiosity is
part of the stack.

CREATIVE
Making the invisible legible.

SYSTEMS
Finding the connection between parts.

LEARNING
Staying a beginner on purpose.

05 — THE JOURNEY

A direction, not a résumé.

01
EARLY

Learning fundamentals

A Computer Science foundation at Federal University of Lafia, alongside the practical discipline of keeping infrastructure running.

02
BUILDING

Real systems for real teams

From network and hardware support at the National Assembly to enterprise data and IT at Private Flyers International.

03
EXPLORING

AI, automation, and architecture

Building the operations platform at JD Marc made the connection between access control, realtime data, and useful automation tangible.

04
NOW

Building with greater intention

Looking for a full-time engineering role where I can own a meaningful part of a system and keep improving it over time.

06 — TECHNICAL IDENTITY

What I care to build.

FRONTEND

Interfaces and interaction

TypeScript · React · Next.js · Tailwind

BACKEND

Systems and service boundaries

Node.js · Express · PostgreSQL / Supabase · MongoDB

AUTOMATION

Removing repetitive work

Realtime workflows · Reporting pipelines · Role-based access

INFRASTRUCTURE

Deployment and reliability

Docker · GitHub Actions · AWS · Nginx

07 — CURRENTLY

In motion, with intention.

BUILDING

Thoughtful full-stack systems and an evolving portfolio.

LEARNING

Python for data analytics, C, algorithms, and Go.

EXPLORING

AI-assisted workflows, architecture, and product thinking.

LOOKING FOR

A team where reliable engineering has a visible effect.

08 — A PERSONAL STATEMENT

I’m interested in the space between an idea and the system that makes it real.
